A man has been rushed to hospital after being stabbed in broad daylight.
Police say the incident took place shortly after 12pm on Sunday, May 26, in the Gartlea Road area of Airdrie.
999 crews raced to the scene after being made aware of an assault.
It is understood a man was stabbed during the ordeal.
Following this, he was taken to hospital, however, his current condition is unknown.
An investigation into the shocking attack is underway.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Around 12.35pm on Sunday, May 26, 2024 we were called to reports of an assault in the Gartlea Road area of Airdrie.
“Emergency services attended and a man was taken to hospital.
“Enquiries remain ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
