"We can't wait to welcome you to Madurai."
The Hatrack building originates back to the late 1890s and it was designed by James Salmon, a Glasgow School of Art student with a strong interest in sculpture.
It is a prime example of an ‘elevator’ building, a long and narrow style with eight storeys and almost forty windows crammed into a thirty-foot-wide space.
