A motorcycle rider has been rushed to hospital after a collision with a car.
Police are investigating after a green Kawasaki motorcycle and a red Hyundai Tucson car crashed on the B8039, near Lenziemill Road, Cumbernauld.
Emergency crews were called to the incident before 7pm on Thursday, May 30.
A 28-year-old man, who was driving the motorcycle, was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Glasgow, with serious injuries.
The driver and passengers of the car were transported to University Hospital Monklands, Airdrie, and released after treatment for minor injuries.

The road was closed by officers for four hours for investigation.
Sergent Gemma Blackadder said: “Enquiries are ongoing and we are asking anyone who has not already spoken to officers and can assist with our investigation to get in touch
"We would also like to see any dashcam footage from the area, especially any that captures the motorcycle prior to the collision happening."
