A boy has been charged with attempted murder after an 'incident' at a Glasgow park.
Emergency services were called to Greenfield Park in the city's Cranhill at around 8.15pm on Friday, May 31 to a report of a disturbance.
A 16-year-old boy was found injured and taken to hospital where he is fighting for his life.
Officers have now charged a 13-year-old boy with attempted murder.
He is due to appear in court on Monday.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “A 13-year-old boy has been arrested and charged in connection with the attempted murder of a 16-year-old male during a disturbance in the Cranhill area of Glasgow.
“Emergency services were called to Greenfield Park in Eskbank Street around 8.15pm on Friday, May 31, 2024, and found the victim seriously injured.
“He was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where medical staff describe his condition as critical.
“The 13-year-old boy is due to appear before Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday, June 3, 2024, and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
