A young man was attacked in a vicious incident in East Kilbride.
The 19-year-old was set upon at around 8.20pm on Saturday, June 1 in the Murray Road area of the town.
999 crews were called to the scene at the time and the victim was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow.
Officers are investigating what happened to the man and they are urging anyone who saw the incident to come forward.
Detective Sergeant Jim Williamson said: “Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and we are appealing to anyone who saw what happened to get in touch.
“If you can help please contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 3907 of Saturday, June 1, 2024, or make a call anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
