A bus firm has introduced new ticket options for a Glasgow service.
Stagecoach West Scotland now has digital single and return ticket choices for the X19 Queen Elizabeth University Hospital to Easterhouse service.
It comes after successful trial periods on selected services in Ayrshire, and passengers can now conveniently buy the tickets for X19 through the Stagecoach Bus App.
The company claims this is the first time this option has been made available for any UK city.
The X19 bus service stops at popular destinations such as Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Glasgow City Centre, Easterhouse Shopping Centre, and Glasgow Fort.
Offering customers greater flexibility when buying their bus tickets, this service is specially tailored to those who use it for one-off trips to the hospital or shopping centres.
Stagecoach hopes this change will reduce boarding times and enhance the overall customer experience on the X19 while providing its customers with a seamless and efficient travel experience.
To celebrate the launch, the Stagecoach team will be out and about offering information on the new ticket options and giving out some Stagecoach goodies to customers.
Fiona Doherty, managing director at Stagecoach West Scotland, said: "We are thrilled to launch the digital single and return ticket option on our X19 service.
"By offering digital tickets, we aim to provide a seamless and efficient travel experience, reducing wait times and offering more flexibility.
"We look forward to seeing our customers benefit from this new feature and will continue to seek innovative ways to improve our services.
"We are committed to offering a fully inclusive range of products and customers who may not have a smartphone will still be able to purchase single or return tickets directly from our drivers."
