Exciting boat trips have been revealed ahead of this year's Kirkintilloch Canal Festival.

We previously reported that the much-loved event, celebrating all things nautical, would return on Saturday, August 31 and Sunday, September 1.

Now to 'whet' the appetite of those looking forward to the festival, organisers have unveiled plans for cruises on the Forth and Clyde Canal ahead of the main weekend.
