A road in Glasgow's Southside is set to close for works.

Parts of Peat Road in the city's Pollok will be shut to traffic on Sunday, June 9 then again on Monday, June 10 and will reopen on the morning of Tuesday, June 11.

This is in order for engineers to carry out essential carriageway patching works on Peat Road at Cowglen Road.

Peat Road will be closed northbound between Hartstone Road and Pollok Roundabout on Sunday, June 9 from 8am to 8pm.

Peat Road will be closed southbound between Pollok Roundabout and Cowglen Road from 9.30am on Monday, June 10 until 6am on Tuesday, June 11.

Drivers are advised to avoid the area during this time.
