Cops are investigating a blaze that has ripped through a former primary school in Coatbridge.
999 crews raced to Gartsherrie Road in the town at around 7.45pm on Sunday, June 9, following reports of a fire in the area.
The building affected was the former Gartsherrie Primary School which is derelict.

Luckily, no one was injured during the incident, however, police have now revealed enquiries into the blaze are underway.
Images shared with the Glasgow Times, during the fire, show the building was engulfed in flames.
Local residents were also pictured standing and watching the horror scenes unfold, while emergency crews battled the fire.

They then shared their thoughts, with one saying it was "heartbreaking".
Another added: "Aww this is such a shame. Heartbreaking."
The feelings of sadness were echoed by local MSP Fulton MacGregor, who said: "Sad night, especially for those with memories of attending school there."
Meanwhile, pictures showing the aftermath of the incident, show the blaze ripped through the building's roof and windows.
The roof is gone and the windows are covered in ash, as is some of the stonework.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Around 8.25pm on Sunday, June 9, 2024, we were made aware of a fire at a derelict building on Gartsherrie Road, Coatbridge.
“The fire was put out by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and no one was injured.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
“The road was closed and re-opened around 1.20pm on Monday, June 10.”
A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: “We were alerted at 7.45pm on Sunday, June 9, to reports of a fire in a derelict building on Gartsherrie Road, Coatbridge, North Lanarkshire.
“Operations control mobilised three appliances and a high-reach appliance to the scene.
“There are no reported casualties at this time."
During the road, Gartsherrie Road was closed at Frederick Street and Blair Road, however, it has since reopened.
