A popular American rapper has praised Glasgow after her gig in the city.

Doja Cat visited the OVO Hydro on Tuesday, June 11, as part of her Scarlet Tour.

Following her gig, the singer-songwriter took to social media to 'thank' Glasgow and Europe for being 'fun'.

In an Instagram post, Doja said: "Europe has been fun. Thanks, Glasgow."

The 28-year-old - real name Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini - is from Los Angeles in the United States of America.

She is known for her hits including Paint The Town Red, Agora Hills, Woman, Street, Need to Know, and many more.

It comes after we reported the star put the 'biggest order ever' into a Glasgow restaurant during her tour stop in the city.

While staying in Glasgow, the Kiss Me More hitmaker sampled the fried chicken on offer at Buck's Bar.

The restaurant says they received their biggest order 'ever' for chicken burgers, with the team preparing a whopping 76 burgers for Doja's road crew totalling over £1000.
