A massive European retailer has revealed an opening date for its new Glasgow store.

Danish homeware brand - Søstrene Grene - will open its new shop on Buchanan Street in the city centre on Friday, June 28, at 10am.

This marks the second city location for the retailer, as it previously opened a store in the St Enoch Centre.

Meanwhile, Capital Scotland radio host, Katy Johnston, will host the event to officially open the store.

On top of that, customers will be treated to refreshments, music, and live entertainment on its opening day.

The retailer has said the new store is opening following the 'success of the first Glasgow store' in the St Enoch's Centre in 2022.

Mikkel Grene, CEO and co-owner of Søstrene Grene, said: “Glasgow is a key Scottish city with a fantastic retail offering, and we are so pleased to be opening our second Søstrene Grene on Buchanan Street.

"Opening a central Glasgow store is essential for our brand's continued visibility and growth.”

Norma Jacob said: “We are really looking forward to the launch of our Buchanan Street store and we hope our customers will enjoy the entertainment and giveaways at our exciting grand opening event.”

Meanwhile, Richard Power added: “We’ve seen great results at our St. Enoch location so far and hope to build on this with the new central Glasgow store.

"Being in such a vibrant and tourist-driven part of the city is really special and we think it’s the ideal site for the brand to thrive.”
