Barrowland Ballroom has been selected as the official venue for Glasgow's Pride.
Based at the heart of Glasgow’s Gallowgate, the location, celebrating its 90th anniversary, is providing attendees a free experience from 2pm until 8pm after the pride march on July 20.
This iconic celebration will unite the LGBTQIA+ community and its allies, aiming to surpass last year's reported 50,000 march participants.
The free event will include two stages and the legendary market, offering a full day of family-friendly entertainment with more than 100 market stalls.
Although the venue has a larger capacity than in previous years, organisers warn of limited access in some areas which will be handled on a first-come-first-served basis.
Attendees can anticipate a range of activities such as Main Stage performances from headliners and local talent, with names to be revealed soon.
The Community Stage at BaaD, the Barrowland Art and Design centre, will spotlight the talent and diversity within the LGBTQIA+ community.
The iconic Barra's Market will serve as a community hub, teeming with stalls selling merchandise, food and drinks, entertainment, shopping, and fun activities for all.
Stuart McPhail, chairperson of Glasgow’s Pride, said: “We can’t wait to welcome everyone to Glasgow’s Pride on Saturday, July 20 2024.
"We are delighted to have joined forces with the iconic Glasgow venue that is Barrowlands and know that this year’s event will be bristling with fun and entertainment for everyone as well as celebrating the diversity and inclusiveness of Glasgow.”
