A well-known record label is opening up a pop-up store in Glasgow this weekend.
Blue Note Records will celebrate its 85th Anniversary with the shop stunt during its international jazz festival. This is the first time in 85 years that the record label will open their first store outside of London.
The Blue Note pop-up store will be located inside the high-end audio retailer and record store Loud and Clear at 520 St Vincent Street.
The pop-up store will be open for four days until tomorrow.
The anniversary of the legendary jazz label coincides with the Glasgow International Jazz Festival. This allows fans of the genre to shop at the largest physical collection of Blue Note vinyl for sale in the UK. The store won't only just be selling its vinyl but also exclusive merchandise including clothing, books, and DVDs.
The brand is celebrating its anniversary through releasing the Francis Wolff Photography Collection, the return of the Review vinyl boxset subscription series, and new releases from artists such as Immanuel Wilkins who is also featured on the 2024 international tour of the Blue Note Quintet. The tour also features Nduduzo Makhathini, Meshell Ndegeocello, Norah Jones, and many more.
Loud & Clear is also offering the opportunity for customers to experience classic Blue Note albums played through the store's state-of-the-art hi-fi systems.
