999 crews have raced to a busy park in Glasgow after a man has died.

Police say they were called to the sudden death of a man in Elder Park in the city's Govan area.

The force was alerted to the incident shortly after 2.50pm on Monday, June 24.

Currently, the death is being treated as unexplained, however, officers believe it is not suspicious. 

In pictures shared with the Glasgow Times, emergency crews including police and ambulance were spotted in the area.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "We received a report of the sudden death of a man in Elder Park, Govan Road, Glasgow, around 2.55pm on Monday, June 24, 2024.

“The death is currently being treated as unexplained but not believed to be suspicious”.

The Scottish Ambulance Service has been contacted for comment.
