The Celtic Park tour has been named one of the best tourist experiences in the world. 

TripAdvisor has unveiled its Travellers' Choice Awards Best of the Best 2024 in which they organise lists of the best places, hotels, restaurants and activities based on their reviews of that year.

Topping the list of the best family-friendly tourist attractions was the guided tour of Parkhead.

The tour beat other activities such as a private desert safari in Dubai (2nd), swimming with dolphins at Clearwater Beach in Florida (3rd) and a jet boat tour from Sydney Harbour in Australia (10th). 

With over 2000 five-star reviews, one visitor called the Parkhead tour a "super informative tour of one of the UK’s iconic football clubs."

Another said: "What an amazing experience! Our tour guide was fantastic and so knowledgeable. We found out so much about the history and had a fantastic day."

A third added: "After our very warm welcome to Celtic Park we were treated to a fascinating tour of the stadium."

Making the top of TripAdvisor's Best Places to Travel was Dubai, while the crown for the best beach went to Praia da Falésia in Portugal.
