Early details of intentions to build a major housing development in Bishopbriggs have been published.
East Dunbartonshire Council has published a Proposal of Application Notice on its website, signalling plans for 67 units of social housing to be constructed on the site of the former Auchinairn Primary School in Beech Road.
A POAN is a stage in the planning process that developers must complete prior to applying for full planning permission to proceed with a major development, at least 12 weeks in advance of the actual application.
The council will use this time to guide how public consultation on the application should be conducted, possibly identifying specific groups or individuals to contact.
Once this is in place and the full planning application has been made the council will welcome comments for consideration when determining whether planning permission should be granted.
