The summer holidays in Glasgow have gotten off to a rather bad start with downpours of heavy rain.
It looks like any hints of a heatwave have disappeared as the rain has been teeming down in the city centre on Tuesday, creating a miserable start to July.
Our photographer captured Glaswegians on a very dreich Sauchiehall Street this afternoon as they tried to shelter from the torrential conditions.
The rain is showing no signs of letting up during the first week of July, with showers expected on Wednesday, July 3, and Thursday, July 4.
There will be a bit of respite on Friday with no rain forecast, albeit it will be cloudy, and the rain is set to return this weekend.
Let's keep our fingers crossed that we'll get that summer weather eventually!
