Glasgow homes have been left in darkness after being hit by a power cut this morning.
A power cut is affecting residents in the G42 postcode area of Glasgow which generally covers the Southside areas of Govanhill, Battlefield and Rutherglen.
The affected postcodes are: G401BA, G412DX, G421AA, G427XW, G428BG, G428BH, G428BJ, G428BW, G428DD, G428DL, G428DN, G428DP, G428DR, G428DS, G428DT, G428DW, G428EB, G428ED, G428EE, G428EF, G428EG, G428EJ, G428HS, G428LJ, G428LQ, G428PE, G428PH, G428PJ, G428PQ, G428QN, G428QP, G428QW, G428QZ, G428RB, G428RE, G428RF, G428RL, G428RP, G428RR, G428RW, G428TN, G428XN, G428XR, G428XT, G428XU, G428XW, G428XX, G428XY, G428YD, G428YJ, G429AX, G429DE, G429JL, G429JN, G429PQ, G429PR, G429QE, G429QF, G429QG, G429QH, G429QJ, G429QQ and G429TY.
Scottish Power engineers are on their way to fix the issue and they are hopeful that power will be restored by 10.30am on Thursday.
An update later confirmed the power had been restored to the area.
