A popular East Kilbride eatery is planning to dish out 100 free churros during the school holidays.
Churrissimo will hand out the treat with dips over the next three Fridays starting from July 5.
The offering comes after the family restaurant underwent a £1 million makeover introducing the town’s first churro bar and gelateria.
The restaurant, which is part of Di Maggio’s East Kilbride, invested more than £20,000 on specially sourced churro equipment to make the delicacy on-site.
The restaurant's chefs were trained in Spain to offer a unique experience in the west of Scotland.
Mariusz Wrona, general manager at Di Maggio’s, said: “Di Maggio’s is all about family, and this giveaway will provide families something delicious and fun to do together this summer holiday.
“We’re looking forward to welcoming everyone to experience our delicious churros – and to make some lasting memories together.
“We’re very proud to be part of the East Kilbride community after all these years, and Churrissimo adds a new dimension to our all-day dining destination for young people and families in the town and beyond.”
