Cops were called to a wooded area in Glasgow following a 'slashing'.
Emergency crews descended on the park near Monymusk Place in the city's Drumchapel on Saturday afternoon at around 3pm.
A 42-year-old man was found injured and rushed to hospital to be treated for what is understood to be 'slash' wounds.
He is described as having serious injuries but is in a stable condition.
The force is now investigating an alleged serious assault.
Three men, aged 44, 48 and 56 have been arrested as part of enquiries.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We are investigating the serious assault of a 42-year-old man which occurred in a wooded area near to Monymusk Place in the Drumchapel area of Glasgow around 3.10pm on Saturday, July 6, 2024.
“The victim was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment and medical staff describe his condition as serious but stable.
“Three men aged 44, 48 and 56 have been arrested in connection and enquiries are ongoing.”
