Three people were rushed to hospital after a crash in Glasgow's Southside.

Emergency crews raced to Calder Street in the city's Govanhill on Saturday afternoon.

Two vehicles collided and three people were checked over at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. 

One of the drivers is being reported to the procurator fiscal in connection with alleged road traffic offences.

Officers are urging anyone who witnessed this incident to get in touch. 

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 4.40pm on Saturday, July 6, 2024, we were called to a two-car road crash in Calder Street, Glasgow.

“Emergency services attended and three people were taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital to be checked over.

“The male driver of one of the cars will be the subject of a report to the Procurator Fiscal in connection with road traffic offences.

“Anyone with information regarding this incident, particularly those with private CCTV or dash-cam footage, is asked to contact us on 101 quoting incident number 2452 of July 6, 2024.”
