A huge new retailer has officially joined Glasgow's style mile - while two city centre stores have shut.
Health and wellness brand Holland & Barrett has opened the doors of its new unit on Buchanan Street.
The firm previously confirmed that the new 2303 sq ft store would replace two smaller existing ones, in Buchanan Galleries and on Sauchiehall Street.
Both have officially closed and have been emptied now.
The new store has been designed to create a fresh look and feel, stocking a variety of Holland & Barrett’s health and wellness solutions, including branded items, innovative services, sports nutrition, and beauty.

Customers can access personalised advice from highly trained expert colleagues to support them with their wellness goals.
Sustainability is at the heart of the new store, which has been refitted using 100% recyclable materials.
The lighting has also been designed to be more efficient, reduce energy consumption and cut carbon emissions.
Store Manager Rochelle Kerr, said: “Our team are delighted to be opening our brand new store in the busy hub of Buchanan Street.
"We look forward to supporting the community with our expertise and wide range of wellness solutions, whether it’s beginning your gut health journey or stocking up on immunity essentials, please drop in and visit us.”

We previously reported that staff at both the Buchanan Galleries and Sauchiehall Street stores would be moved to the new store or one of the eight others located in and around the city.
Holland & Barrett had submitted plans to move into 229 Buchanan Street, which had lain empty since the closure of Topshop in 2020 when the brand went into administration.
