A well-known Irish music duo are set to host a free gig in Glasgow this month.

Jedward - which is made up of identical twins John and Edward Grimes - will perform at the Barrowland Ballroom on Saturday, July 20, as part of the Glasgow Pride event.

The brothers - who starred on The X Factor in 2009 - are known for their tunes including Lipstick, Waterline, Young Love, Bad Behaviour, and many more.

The pair began their music career in 2009.

Glasgow Pride will take place at the venue, market, and BAad, from 2pm until 8pm.

Other names that will be in attendance at the event include hosts Bev Lyons, and Drag Queen Miss Bellahouston, singers Just The Brave, Jasmine Jet, Lee Cammy, Jeremy Levif, Girls R Loud, Jamie Lee Morley, Archie CW, and Jane Henderson. 

Scottish Oompah Loompah star Kirsty Paterson will also join in the fun with Drag Queen Ann Phetamine alongside Go Radio’s Gina McKie, and Crofty.

I Kissed A Girl’s Fiorenza and Rangers and Celtic ambassadors will be at the event as well.

Stuart McPhail, Glasgow's Pride champion added: “Last year over 50,000 people were reported to attend the Pride march in Glasgow and we expect this year’s numbers to exceed that.”
