ScotRail has issued an urgent warning to TRNSMT fans heading to Glasgow this weekend amid its revised timetable.

The music festival is set to take place between Friday, July 12 and Sunday, July 14 at Glasgow Green.

Musicians performing at the event include Liam Gallagher, Gerry Cinnamon, Calvin Harris, The Snuts, Declan McKenna, and many more.

Ahead of it, the rail firm is warning concertgoers to 'be aware' of its 'temporary timetable' which is currently in operation.

Due to this, the travel company says some train times may be different.

Meanwhile, they are also warning festival fans that trains 'will be busier than normal' as 150,000 people make their way to the event.

A spokesperson for ScotRail said: "Heading to TRNSMT this weekend?

"Trains will be busier than normal as 150,000 music fans make their way to Glasgow Green.

"If you're heading to the event, please remember a temporary timetable will be in operation.

"Buy your ticket before you board to reduce queues at stations."

 

 

Glasgow City Council has also reminded festival fans to plan ahead due to the ScotRail timetable changes.

Taking to social media, the local authority said: "Are you heading to TRNSMT at Glasgow Green this weekend?

"ScotRail have a temporary timetable in operation so please check your journey before you travel."

ScotRail says those travelling to the festival should buy tickets before boarding trains to help minimise queues at stations.

It comes after we reported several roads in Glasgow will be closed throughout this year's festival.

We also reported how TRNSMT has issued a warning ahead of this year's festival.

Bosses of the event have issued a reminder to those attending it on what IDs will be accepted.

Organisers of the much-loved festival have said passports, full or provisional driving licences, and national proof of age standard scheme cards with a pass hologram will be accepted.

However, no photocopies or expired IDs will be accepted at the summer music festival in the city.
