Travel advice has been issued to music fans heading to TRNSMT in Glasgow this weekend.

The festival is set to take place between Friday, July 12 and Sunday, July 14 at Glasgow Green.

Artists performing at the event include Liam Gallagher, Gerry Cinnamon, Calvin Harris, The Snuts, Declan McKenna, and many more.

Ahead of it, Traffic Scotland has issued advice for concertgoers travelling to the event.

In a social media post, they are urging music fans to 'plan ahead'.

On top of that, they are also suggesting those attending should consider public transport or active travel to get to the festival.

 

 

It comes after we reported ScotRail has issued an urgent warning to TRNSMT fans heading to Glasgow this weekend amid its revised timetable.

The rail firm is warning concertgoers to 'be aware' of its 'temporary timetable' which is currently in operation.

Due to this, the travel company says some train times may be different.

Meanwhile, they are also warning festival fans that trains 'will be busier than normal' as 150,000 people make their way to the event.

We also reported how several roads in Glasgow will be closed throughout this year's festival.

Meanwhile, bosses of the event have issued a reminder to those attending it on what IDs will be accepted.

Organisers of the much-loved festival have said passports, full or provisional driving licences, and national proof of age standard scheme cards with a pass hologram will be accepted.

However, no photocopies or expired IDs will be accepted at the summer music festival in the city.
