Two new playparks have opened in Milngavie in time for the school holidays.
Both the Keystone playpark, located off the Keystone Quadrant, and Dougalston Gardens North Play Area, were completed in June.
Already popular with the local children, the parks were designed following a consultation with residents in November 2023.
Councillor Paul Ferretti, convener of the Place, Neighbourhood, and Corporate Assets Committee at the council, officially opened the new play areas.
He was joined by local children from Lullaby Lane Nursery and Oakburn Early Years Centre.
He said: "As with all our new playparks, the community has been involved in choosing the final designs for these projects.
"The end result is two fantastic new play areas that are already proving hugely popular with the young people of Milngavie.
"I’m sure they will be the backdrop to many happy hours of play this Summer and for many years to come."
Dougalston Gardens North, which incurred a cost of £90,000, was funded through a combination of Scottish Government Renewing Scotland’s Play Park Funding and EDC Capital Funding.
It includes equipment that can be enjoyed by children of all ages and abilities.
The other facility is located between Keystone Quadrant and Breadie Drive, funded via Renewing Scotland’s Play Park Funding and EDC Capital Funding.
The £80,000 facility offers two comprehensive multi-play units with integrated slides and climbing frames, as well as a variety of swings, an inclusive roundabout, and a balance trail.
