A hero climbed to the top of a lamppost in Glasgow city centre to rescue a trapped seagull.

In a video posted on TikTok, a man has been captured clambering up a lamppost on Sauchiehall Street to save the bird that was suck recently.

In the clip, the man - dubbed the 'seagull saver' - could be seen scrambling up the piece of street furniture at speed to rescue the feathered friend.

After reaching the top, the bloke then managed to help it by removing it from the structure.

It then could be seen flying away, while the animal rescuer slid back down the pole to the ground.
