Buses will replace trains on a busy Glasgow Central line from tomorrow.

ScotRail has said train services between the city centre station and East Kilbride will be replaced by buses from Thursday, July 18 until Sunday, July 21.

Services will not be running on the line due to engineering work.

The rail firm has also said due to 'road restrictions', a mini bus service will run between Busby and Thornliebank to connect with the bus replacement service.

Ahead of the changes, ScotRail is urging travellers to 'plan' their journeys before travelling.

A spokesperson for the travel company said: "For details of bus replacement services from Thursday, July 18 to Sunday, July 21, on the East Kilbride line check the ScotRail app or visit our website.
