A man has died following a horror crash which saw a busy road closed for over five hours.
We reported earlier that the A725 Shawhead flyover was closed at the junction with the A8 due to a three-vehicle collision.
999 crews raced to the scene at around 11.20am and the road was closed until around 5.30pm.

Cops have now revealed that the vehicles involved were a red HGV, a white Ford Transit flatbed and a black Mini Cooper.
The driver of the Transit, a 50-year-old man, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
Those inside the other vehicles were checked over at the scene.
Detectives are now trying to establish what happened in the shocking incident.
Sergeant Ross Allison said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who died at this very difficult time.
“Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the crash and who has not already spoken to officers to get in touch.
“I would also appeal for anyone who was driving in the area and who may have dash-cam footage that could assist to contact us.”
