999 crews were called to an incident with a 'large group'.
A police presence was spotted near St Cadoc's Church in Cambuslang on Sunday evening.
The force said they received a report of a disturbance involving a large group of people in the area.
They were called to the scene and searched the area nearby.
An investigation is underway to identify who was involved, but officers say that they do not believe anyone to have been injured at this time.
A police spokesperson said: "Around 6.30pm on Sunday, July 21, 2024 police received a report of a disturbance involving a large group of people in Hamilton Road, Cambuslang.
"Officers attended, searched the surrounding area and enquiries are ongoing to identify those involved.
"There have been no reports of anyone injured at this time."
