A pedestrian has been hit by a bus in Glasgow city centre near the Royal Infirmary.
Police were on the scene at Castle Street following the collision today, where the condition of the pedestrian is unknown.
Specialist traffic officers have launched an investigation at the scene while a First Bus remains stationary within the police cordon.
A post on the community page No1Seems2Care said: "We believe a lady has been struck by a bus on Castle Street at the Glasgow Royal Infirmary.
"She had a dog with her which has ran into a nearby cafe.
"Just in case anyone nearby recognises who this is and can retrieve the dog whilst the emergency services deal with the Incident. We hope all involved are okay."
Police have not confirmed any more details.
The road is a key route to access the M8 in Glasgow and is busy with rush hour traffic which will be impacted.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Castle Street, near the Glasgow Royal Infirmary, is closed in both directions from Glebe Street to Warnock Street following a collision involving a bus and pedestrian.
"The M8 J15 eastbound slip road is also impacted.
"Traffic is being diverted onto Alexandra Parade.
"Please avoid the area."
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We received a call at 14:19 to attend an incident on Castle Street, Glasgow.
"Two ambulances were dispatched to the scene and one patient was transported to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital."
