Plans have been unveiled for the Peter Vardy car showroom in Hillington.
The site could be turned into a Sterling Furniture store and garden centre.
The change could come after a planning application was submitted to Renfrewshire Council to transform the former Peter Vardy property in Hillington Park.
Papers state: "Sterling Furniture has been looking to secure representation in the Renfrewshire area for a number of years.
"They have good representation across the wider Glasgow conurbation with stores at London Road, Glasgow and Tannochside, Lanarkshire but have a gap in representation as it relates to the west /Renfrewshire area."

The firm seeks to use the spot as a retail warehouse and cafe. Furniture, flooring and home furnishings would all be sold here and there is also a proposed garden centre.
If accepted, the development would create 50 to 60 jobs.
The current building has a large glazed frontage, which was originally a furniture showroom and then a car showroom.
It was a Peter Vadry showroom until 2023, when it closed due to "post-Covid challenges".
The council's planning committee is considering the application.
