Warnings have been issued after a 'suspicious' creep followed two women in the same area.
In posts circulating on social media, the two women have urged other females to be careful after they both experienced similar incidents involving a man.
One woman said she was walking near the fire station on Andrew Street at around 3.30pm on Tuesday when she was approached by a man who waved at her before following her.
She also said he repeatedly asked for her Instagram details despite her telling him 'no'.
Meanwhile, at around 7pm, another woman was walking her dogs near Kirktonholme Park when she clocked a man 'following her around'.
She said it was only when she reached the train station and passengers from the train started walking past her that he moved away.
Police confirmed that they had been made aware of a man 'acting suspiciously'.
They were called to the scene and are investigating what happened.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “On Tuesday, July 23, we received a report of a man acting suspiciously in the Kirktonholme Park area of East Kilbride around 7.15pm.
“Officers attended and enquiries are ongoing.”
