Alarming images show a huge fire ripping through a building in the Paisley during the night.
Flames could be seen pouring out of the roof of one of the homes at Ferguslie Park in the Renfrewshire town.
The houses are understood to be empty.
In another image, the entire roof appeared to have caved in and the air surrounding the building was full of thick smoke.
It is not currently known if there are any injuries.
Police were called to the incident and they confirmed that there were no people inside the building at the time of the fire.
They are treating the blaze as a deliberate act.
A spokesperson said: "Around 11.20pm on Wednesday, 24 July, 2024, we were called to a report of a fire in vacant premises in Tannahill Road, Paisley.
"Officers attended and assisted Scottish Fire and Rescue Service. There were no persons within.
“The fire is being treated as wilful and enquiries are ongoing.”
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service revealed they had been called to the scene multiple times on Wednesday evening to a 'number of fires'.
A 'significant' number of resources were deployed to assist in putting out the blaze.
Area Commander Kevin Murphy, local senior officer for East Renfrewshire, Renfrewshire and Inverclyde, said: "We were required to attend a number of fires within vacant buildings in the Tannahill area of Ferguslie Park, Paisley on the evening of Wednesday, 24 July and into the next morning.
“These incidents saw significant resources mobilised from across Renfrewshire to extinguish the fires safely.
“Our Operations Control continually monitor resilience and will deploy the nearest available appliance to a reported incident.
“Appliances from surrounding areas are also proactively redistributed to provide standby cover when firefighters are attending incidents for a prolonged period of time.”
