A social media star visited an award-winning Glasgow restaurant - and got into 'beef' with a local seagull.

Kalani Smith - known as Kalani Ghost Hunter on TikTok - recently visited Shawarma King on King Street in the city centre.

The internet star, who hails from Nashville, Tennessee, posted a review of the eatery on social media - where he has three million followers.

Shawarma King is a well-known Glasgow eatery which has won several awards over the years including being named the Best Kebab House in Scotland at the 12th British Kebab Awards earlier this year.

Posting the review on social media, Kalani captioned the video: "American reviews Shawarma King, Glasgow, Scotland."

Opening the clip, the TikTok food critic said: "Someone told me this could be the best kebab I'll ever put in my mouth.

"We are here at Shawarma King in Glasgow."

The 'ghost hunter' then entered the venue and ordered two lamb wraps.

After receiving his order, the tourist said: "So, it took about 25 minutes to get, and we only ordered two lamb wraps. They are making things with love in there. There was a queue outside."

However, before indulging in his snack, the star gets into an argument with a local seagull which is close by squawking.

He then pointed at the bird and said: "Shut your mouth, this is my kebab."

The clip then shows the social media sensation biting into the kebab.

He said: "We got garlic and chilli. That's a pretty good kebab."

After taking his first bite, the star then looks at the local seagull again and says, "It's trying to sneak up."

Reviewing the meal, he then went on to say: "The meat is a little tough, I would say but I do like the flavour of it though. They've seasoned it well but it is a little tough."

Trying a piece of the meat on its own, he said: "It's just a little bit chewy."

Giving his verdict, he said: "This is not the best kebab I've ever had. Good flavour, I've really enjoyed the flavour, but the meat, it's just not that good for me.

"I'm going to give this one a 7.8. Maybe we will have to come back and give Shawarma King another run."

However, after reviewing the Glasgow scran, he points the camera to the floor and says: "We've got all the birds showing up now - we're about to cause a fight. The seagulls here are on something else."
