A Scottish singer has been left 'starstruck' after supporting an iconic musician at her Glasgow gig.

Nina Nesbitt has taken to social media to thank Fleetwood Mac legend Stevie Nicks for the opportunity to support her at her concert in the city recently.

We previously reported the Scots singer-songwriter was revealed as the opening act for the legendary musicians' show - which took place at the OVO Hydro on Wednesday, July 24.

Originally, the 76-year-old American singer-songwriter - who is known for being a part of the famous band - was meant to host a gig at the venue on Saturday, July 6, however, it was rescheduled just hours before the show.

Following the event, Nina - who is from Livingston - has revealed it was an 'absolute honour' to have met Stevie while thanking her for the opportunity to support her at the show.

The 30-year-old - who is known for her tunes including The Best You Had, Mansion, Loyal to Me, and many more - also said she has been left 'starstruck' after meeting the American musician's dog, Lily.

In the post, Nina said: "What an absolute honour to meet Stevie Nicks after opening for her in Glasgow last night.

"Pinch me.

"Thank you so much to this queen for having me support her on tour. For always being one of my inspirations, whether it's music, style, or just generally talking no s*** and saying it how it is.

"Stevie has paved the way for so many of us female musicians. 

"I loved hearing her stories and the songs every night on this tour, actual goosebumps every time!

"I'll treasure this tour forever - p.s. I met her dog Lily and I'm starstruck."

Meanwhile, we recently reported Nina is set to host her own gig in the city later this year.

The Luv Me a Little singer will be performing at the Old Fruitmarket on Friday, October 18, 2024.
