A man has been rushed to hospital after a brutal night-time attack outside Glasgow Central Station.
Police say they were called to an assault on Union Street in the city centre.
The force was alerted to the incident shortly after 1am this morning (Friday, July 26).

999 crews - including police and the ambulance service - raced to the scene.
After that, a 37-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment.
In pictures shared on social media, officers taped off areas outside Glasgow Central Station's main entrance on Gordon Street and the side entrance on Union Street.
An investigation into the horrific attack is underway.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Around 1.05am on Friday, July 26, 2024, we were called to a report of a man having been assaulted in Union Street, Glasgow.
“Emergency services attended and a 37-year-old man was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment.
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
