An incident at a premises in Hamilton has sparked a police probe.
Officers say they were called to a disturbance and theft at a property on Hillhouse Road in the town at around 8.30am on Friday, July 26.
During the situation, residents took to social media to claim cops were at the Tesco Express store in the area, however, it is unclear whether the incident involved the store.
The force says an investigation has been launched into the situation.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Around 8.30am on Friday, July 26, 2024, officers received a report of a disturbance and theft at a premises on Hillhouse Road, Hamilton.
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
Tesco has been contacted for comment.
