An urgent warning has been issued as part of a busy East Kilbride road will be closed tonight.
On behalf of Transport Scotland, Amey will be undertaking essential parapet repairs following a crash on the A725 East Kilbride Expressway.
The repairs will take place between the A725 on-slip at Whirlies Roundabout and the nearside lane of the eastbound A725 carriageway.

The work will include the rebuilding of a masonry brickwork wall, replacement of the bridge edge cope, and installation of a pedestrian guardrail.
It will take place from Monday, July 29 until Tuesday, August 6, between 10pm and 6am each night.
During the work, lane closures on the road will be in place.
