Shocking images show two huge fires ripping through two buildings on a Paisley street.

999 crews raced to Tannahill Road in the town after being alerted to the infernos at around 10.30pm on Monday, July 29.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) say they were called to reports of fires within two derelict properties in the area.

Police Scotland has said that a total of four vacant buildings were affected. 

Six fire trucks along with supporting specialist vehicles were sent to the scene.

In images shared with the Glasgow Times, flames could be seen bursting out of two buildings on the road.

Meanwhile, emergency crews could be seen at the scene.

It comes after we reported fire crews raced to the same road on Wednesday, July 24, after receiving a report of several fires within vacant buildings.

A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: “We remain at the scene following a fire on Tannahill Road, Paisley.

“At its height, six fire appliances and supporting specialist vehicles were mobilised to the scene at 10.29pm on Monday, July 29, following reports of fires within two derelict properties.

“One appliance is still in attendance to dampen down the area."

Officers are treating the fires as deliberate and they are urging any witnesses who could help this investigation to come forward. 

Inspector Kevin Craig said: “Our enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone with information to contact police.

“We also ask anyone who may have private CCTV of the area at the time to come forward.”
