Bosses of a much-loved shop have teased a new venture after announcing its closure after five years.

We recently reported how Bunty's Two Doors Down - which is located on Prieston Road in Bridge of Weir, Renfrewshire - took to social media to announce its closure.

The specialist food shop said despite recently moving to larger premises and its 'unwavering commitment to quality products', they 'cannot sustain the business without the necessary support'.

The retailer also revealed it has faced several challenges over the years including rising costs, parking issues, road closures, and Covid.

Now, the owners of the company have taken to Facebook to tease a new venture.

In the post, the food store said while the 'chapter of Bunty's is drawing to a close - not all is lost'.

Teasing the new business venture, the firm went on to say 'When one door closes, another opens'.

Dropping hints at what it could be, Bunty's said it won't be the 'same' as the current beloved store, however, they are 'Brewing up something fresh and delightful'.

They then teased locals with the idea of a 'cosy spot' in the village, where they can find 'deli treats or grab a quick bite to go'.

Taking to social media, the shop said: "The chapter of Bunty's is drawing to a close. But all is not lost - when one door closes another may open.

"While it won’t be the same beloved Bunty’s, we’re brewing up something fresh and delightful.

"Imagine a cosy spot right in the heart of the village, where you can find your favourite deli treats and grab a quick bite on the go.

"But wait, there’s more! We’re creating a charming seating area for you to savour leisurely brunches, delectable pastries, and aromatic coffee.

"Help us make this dream a reality! Like, share, and comment below with your thoughts.

"Without enough demand and support shown right now, we won't be able to make this happen.

"Let’s build a community hub that keeps us rooted in Bridge of Weir!"

The owners of the store are yet to reveal an official closing date for it, however, it will remain open until then.
