A Glasgow man punched another in the face so hard that he lost three teeth.
Police were on patrol on Arcadia Street at 1am on June 19, 2024, dealing with a different incident when members of the public made them aware of an ongoing fight between two people near James Street, in the East End.
Cops went to have a look and saw a group of men shouting at each other.
They approached and saw Derek Sharkey assaulting a man by punching him with a right-handed clenched fist in the centre of his face.
This caused the man to fall backwards and he lost three front teeth and suffered significant bleeding from his mouth.
Officers separated them as backup arrived and Sharkey, of Cranhill, was arrested.
He was cautioned when officers noted that he himself had an open wound injury to his face.
He was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital and police were told that he was stable so he was cautioned and charged. He made no reply.

The 20-year-old appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court after he pleaded guilty to the assault. He appeared from custody.
His lawyer told the court: "An altercation fuelled by drink had taken place. He was injured but that does not excuse his actions.
"He is on petition for another matter, awaiting a trial diet."
Sheriff Bernard Ablett addressed him: "Looking at your previous convictions, they feature charges of you being in possession of a knife in public and there are two instances of assault and other offences.
"Given the nature of the charges on the complaint and your previous convictions, there are no other ways to deal with this but jail."
Sharkey was sentenced to 80 days imprisonment for this offence and a further 60 days for an assault on a police officer. The sentences will run consecutively.
