Disruption is expected as work begins on a £2 million Scottish Water project.
The firm is beginning work on a new housing development in the Glenmavis area of Airdrie which will aim to reduce the risk of future sewer flooding.
Teams from the utility's commercial subsidiary Scottish Water Horizons will set up a site compound on Raebog Road.
Storage pipes will then be installed between Dunvegan Drive and Windsor Drive and underneath land next to Glenmavis Road.

Due to the scale of the project, there will be some disruption to traffic and local residents.
Project manager John Kerr said: “We recently held an information event to engage with the local community, listen to their views and learn from their local knowledge.
“This investment will bring real benefits to the village, and we are grateful for everyone’s contributions to this essential project.
“Regrettably, there will be some disruption for residents and road users given the traffic management required to carry out the work safely. We apologise in advance for any inconvenience this may cause and thank everyone for their patience and understanding.”
Later this year, work will also get underway to install a new sewer pipe along sections of Coatbridge Road and Glenmavis Road.
