An urgent warning has been issued ahead of an event at Braehead this weekend as Glasgow's M8 will be closed.

Colour Festival 2024 - which is a dance music festival - will take place at the Braehead Arena from 5pm on Saturday, August 3 until 4am on Sunday, August 4.

We previously reported how part of the motorway is set to be closed this weekend to allow major work to take place.

As part of the work, the motorway will be closed overnight in both directions.

The closure will be in place between Junction 19 (Anderston) and Junction 24 (Helen Street).

The section of the road will be shut from 6pm on Saturday, August 3 until 1pm on Sunday, August 4.
