An 'important milestone' has been reached in the development of over 250 'much-needed' new homes in Glasgow.
Cala Management Limited has announced they have completed the purchase of a 5.87-acre site in Cathcart in the Southside from Celeros Flow Technology.
Now, the property developer has said they will work on delivering 'The Foundry' - which is a 'unique and sustainable' new development featuring 254 new homes.

The new residential area will include a 'high-quality' selection of one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments, as well as bespoke two- and three-bedroom penthouses.
The company says Celeros FT selected Cala Homes (West) as its residential partner in October 2022 to develop the surplus land.
After that, planning permission was granted by Glasgow City Council in March 2024.
Now, announcing the purchase of the site, Cala Homes says it 'represents an important milestone' for the firm and they will 'reinstate the vacant, brownfield site as a landmark residential destination'.
The housebuilder will invest approximately £61million in the development.
According to the developer, residents of the new homes will benefit from attractive landscaped communal areas, with integrated cycle and walkways from the development to the wider area.
The first of the homes are expected to be available by Spring 2025.
