A Glasgow man threatened to stab cops who showed up to his block of flats for an unrelated matter.
Cops arrived at a Knightswood address at 5.40pm on July 8, 2023.
Stewart Dudley, 53, began to shout at officers.
Police told him to remain calm, however, his behaviour escalated and he began pacing up and down the hallway, shouting.
Handcuffs were applied to his wrists. He told cops: “I am going to stab yous”.
More officers arrived to control Dudley and he was taken to Clydebank police station in a cell van.
There, he was brought to a holding cell and two police officers were taking hold of him when he lounged forward.
He tried to headbutt one cop but did not make contact.
Police were able to control and restrain him but he could not be cautioned and charged due to his violent behaviour.
Dudley appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court from custody this week after he pleaded guilty to assaulting a cop and threatening with violence.
He further admitted to breaking a non-harassment order on June 28, 2024.

His lawyer said: "His offences are linked to problematic alcohol use. The report says he is a person who has to deal with his issues.
"He was under the influence of alcohol both times. I wonder if you would consider referring him to the Alcohol Court?"
The case was deferred for an Alcohol Court assessment and Dudley was released on bail.
Sheriff Bernard Ablett told him: “This may be your last chance.”
