A man was arrested as armed police were spotted on a Rutherglen street.
An eyewitness on social media shared that she spotted "armed police and tons of police cars" on Llody Street yesterday.
The force confirmed that the armed unit attended as a precaution and a man was arrested in connection with possession of offensive weapons and communication offences.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “A 40-year-old man has been arrested at an address in Lloyd Street, Rutherglen in connection with communications offences and being in possession of offensive weapons.
“He was released on an undertaking to appear at court at a later date.
“A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
