A hand-painted mural in celebration of Pride could be displayed on the building of a city nightclub if Glasgow planners approve.
Global Street Art has asked Glasgow City Council for permission to display the mural at the AXM on 90 Glassford Street. The firm describes itself as one of the world's leading street art platforms, centering itself around hosting and sharing the world's most iconic and emerging artists, past and present.
The proposed mural would be in place for 12 months leading up to the Glasgow Pride 2025 event next summer.

A planning statement said: "Being from the world of street art, the applicant strongly admires the extensive street mural culture and history within Glasgow, and look forward to making their own contribution to the artistic fabric of the city."
The application was submitted because the mural may contain images and or lettering identifying the artwork as being associated with a sponsor such as a charity or company.
The planning statement added: "The inclusion of such branding triggers the need for advertising content. It is to this end that this application is submitted."
The firm behind the plans said it wasn't possible at this stage to reveal the possible design of the mural.
The planning statement said: "The nature of this project is such that formal instruction to commission and design the proposed mural cannot be initiated until consent to secure a mural is secured. At this point it is not therefore possible to submit a specific design as part of the application."
The planning statement added: "The temporary display of a hand painted artwork mural supporting Pride and celebrating the events' participants would create visual interest supplementing the existing vibrancy to this area.
"It would also create new footfall in the locality, bringing in visitors with a positive impact upon nearby hospitality and retail businesses.
"The mural would also provide a focal point and would, it is envisaged, become a visitor shop where followers of the event, visiting Glasgow, would gather to take souvenir selfies and photographs."
A decision is expected on the plan by Monday, September 16 and the last date for comments under application 24/01814/ADV is Wednesday, July 31.
