Singer Michelle McManus has stunned her fans by wearing a one-off dress featuring over 8000 Swarovski crystals.

The Glasgow-born star posed on Instagram with her husband Jeff Nimmo to show off the dress that she wore to a friend's wedding. 

Michelle, who presents The Afternoon Show on BBC Radio Scotland, told her followers that she had the dress specially made for her friend's wedding.

The Pop Idol winner told fans she also performed at her friend's wedding. 

The mother-of-two, who is best known for hit song All This Time, said:  "I had the honour of singing one of my best friends of over 25 years down the aisle yesterday.

"I knew I wanted to wear something special but never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined how stunning my dress would be.

"Thank you to the incredible @holbaxsews for creating and designing my one of a kind dress and accessories.

"The dress had over 8000 Swarovski crystals on it and I’ve included a wee video just to show you how beautifully they sparkled."

Michelle's fans rallied around on the platform to heap praise on the design of the one-off dress,
