A restaurant with a "brand new concept" has taken over a huge empty unit in Glasgow city centre.
Assaggini, serving Italian small plates, has recently moved into the George Square unit previously occupied by Doppio Malto, which, as we reported previously, closed "unexpectedly" last month, after three years.
Now, the new spot, promising a "new way to enjoy" Italian food has opened in the prominent space.

The chain also has a venue on Byres Road in the West End and in Edinburgh.
They serve pasta, pizza, salads and more.
